FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How quickly do your bookings fill up?

I almost always have availability for drop-in visits. For overnight care, some months/times of year are busier and more popular than others. I would say my overnight books for regular bookings fill 4-6 weeks in advance. Holiday bookings may fill a few months in advance. If you are planning a vacation, I’d reach out sooner than later!

How do I check your availability?

The easiest way to check my availability is by going to the ‘availability’ tab on my website. Here, you will find a quick overview of available months, if I am out of town, and if I am reaching my overnight capacity. Then, send me a message with your specific dates that you need pet sitting services! I typically respond to messages within 48 hours. I offer drop-in visits 24/7 and can usually squeeze you in if it is a last minute request! I also try to post my availability on social media, and will make a big announcement if I am heading out of town. Make sure you are following my Instagram and Facebook page to stay up to date!

What is your preferred method of receiving payment?

Venmo is preferred! If you prefer to use cash or check, I ask that you leave payment on the counter for me so that we don’t need to meet up after the booking.

How do you get into my house?

Send me your door/garage codes and I will keep them locked in my notes app for reference. If I need a key to get into your house, please give this to me during our meet and greet or hide it outside for me to find upon arrival.

Do you charge for meet and greets before a booking?

I do not charge for an initial 30 minute meet and greet before new client bookings! For new house sitting clients, a meet and greet is required. For new drop-in clients, meet and greets are not required as this is often a last minute service.

If you feel like you need longer than 30 minutes, or if an additional meet and greet is necessary, this will cost the price of a drop-in visit ($25/30 min $35/1 hr.).

Do you charge extra if my pets require meds?

I do not charge an additional fee if your pets have special needs or require medicine! I’ve gotten quite good at quickly and efficiently giving pets meds over the years, and I include this service within the pricing of regular services.

What safety precautions do you take?

Keeping your pets safe is my number one priority, on top of creating special bonds with each of your pets. Here are a few things I do to ensure your pets are safe in my care:

  • I don’t do dog parks, ever! Not that I don’t trust your pups, but the unpredictability of other pets at the park can create an unsafe environment.

  • I only do leashed walks, with the exception of walking your dog on your property.

  • I’m cautious of bloat. I keep play to a minimum before and after feeding times.

  • I am heat sensitive. I find other enrichment activities when temps are high. I also ensure pets cool down before I leave at the end of a visit.

  • I sanitize. I see a lot of pets on a daily basis. I always wash my hands between pups to stop spread of any sicknesses.
