Hi, I’m Kali!
I am an in-home pet sitter based in Lowell, Michigan. I mainly service Lowell, but I also offer services to surrounding areas such as Ada, Cascade, East Grand Rapids, Alto, Saranac, and Murray Lake (anywhere within about a 20 minute drive from downtown Lowell). The best part? You don’t have to uproot your pets from the comfort and familiarity of home because I come to you!
Whether I’m spending the night or popping in for a quick potty break, your animals will be given my undivided love and attention. My business motto is something I take very seriously: creating an everlasting bond and becoming best friends with your pets is my top priority. Think of me as your pets’ trusted comfort person when you are not around! My goal is to build special connections, while keeping your critters happy, comfortable, and safe.
Being away from your pets cannot only be hard on them, but it can be hard on you, too! I prioritize excellent communication by sending frequent updates with photos. This allows for some peace of mind while you’re away from your beloved companions!
My Experience
I’ve been professionally pet sitting and running my own business since 2022, but my love for animal care goes way back. I’ve been watching pets for friends and family since 2018, and I’ve built extensive experience caring for anxious, elderly, and special needs pets.
Growing up, I spent 12 years showing horses in 4-H. This gave me tons of experience caring for farm life. I grew up with pugs and currently, in my childhood home, have a pitbull, a pug mix, and two kitties. One of our pugs became diabetic during her senior years, which gave me experience administering medicine — a skill I use frequently today. We also had gerbils and a bearded dragon during my childhood, so I am not squeamish and have no issues caring for any smaller critters. My calm and patient nature makes me especially suited for nervous or shy kitties. I really am a lover of all animals!
I got my start in the pet sitting industry by riding horses. Once I got my drivers license, I became the go-to house sitter for all of my fellow equestrians. During college, I decided to apply for Rover.com to expand my services. While juggling my classes and school work, I gained over 50 five star reviews on Rover.com and fell in love with providing custom care for all sorts of animals!
After graduating college in the spring of 2024, I decided to run my business full time and move my work off of Rover.com. It has been my biggest joy ever since! I am so lucky that I get to spend my days caring for all of your cuties, and I have such a passion for animals and animal care.
